Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Automation Technician to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated systems that drive our production processes. Your expertise in industrial controls, robotics, and electrical systems will ensure seamless operation of our manufacturing equipment, supporting our commitment to lean manufacturing principles and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation technology, including Fanuc robotic systems and PLC-controlled machinery, to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Duties Maintenance and repair:
Performs preventative maintenance duties as instructed. Works with equipment manufacturer reps. during PM and emergency repair events. Repairs equipment immediately, notifies supervisor of any concerns related to the repair.
Troubleshooting:
Ability to recognize and prioritize where their skills are most effective / needed. Uses blue prints, the manufacturers electronic drawings, the equipment's diagnostics and troubleshooting guides. The technician will utilize manufacturers help resources as needed or instructed. Good problem- solving skills, quickly diagnosing malfunctions.
Mentoring and Support:
Provides guidance and insight to management, junior technicians and maintenance trainees regarding equipment repair, replacement, installation and maintenance.
Major Duties:
Maximize production and utility systems operability and reliability. Qualifications In depth knowledge of electrical safety procedures, PLCs, electronic and electrical control systems, industrial computers and computer-controlled machinery, electrical circuits and instrumentation. Communication skills, able to collaborate with technical support, colleges and management. Documentation of causes and solutions. Technical understanding-working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical drives, vacuum and compressed air systems. 2 years hands on experience in this or a related field. Education - Two years technical training relevant to electrical automation and controls. ie.
