About the Role We are seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Unit Specialist to help clean, prepare, and maintain apartment units for new residents. This role includes general cleaning, simple maintenance tasks, painting, and assisting the maintenance team as needed. If you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in keeping spaces clean and welcoming, we'd love to meet you! Key Responsibilities Clean and prepare apartments for new occupancy Clean and prep surfaces for painting; paint walls, ceilings, trim, and doors Work safely with common household cleaning products and chemicals Assist maintenance staff with basic repair tasks under supervision Distribute resident notices (e.g., pest control, newsletters, event reminders) Perform general cleanup around the property Additional Responsibilities Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional attitude with residents, coworkers, contractors, and vendors Follow all company safety standards and federal/state/local regulations Uphold company policies and employee handbook guidelines Support teamwork and contribute to a productive work environment Qualifications Valid driver's license required Must pass a criminal background check Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Able to communicate clearly with staff, residents, and vendors Basic carpentry/repair skills (e.g., tightening hinges, replacing outlet covers) Ability to safely use tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, scrapers, paint brushes, brooms, mops, shovels, and more Physical Requirements Standing/walking for most of the workday (75-100%) Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing stairs, and reaching overhead Ability to climb ladders as needed Ability to grip, lift, and carry tools and equipment Lifting requirements: 1-25 lbs: constant 25-75 lbs: frequent 75-150 lbs: occasional Frequent outdoor work in all weather conditions Work Environment This role requires both indoor and outdoor tasks, often for extended periods in varying weather conditions. Must be comfortable working independently and handling repetitive or physical tasks.
