Full Job Description Hotel Maintenance Duties:

Routine Inspections Check HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) Inspect plumbing for leaks or clogs Test electrical outlets, lights, and appliances Monitor elevators and escalators for safe operation Inspect fire alarms, extinguishers, and emergency systems Repairs Fix leaking faucets, toilets, or pipes Repair broken lights, switches, or electrical panels Patch and paint walls, ceilings, or furniture Replace damaged carpets or tiles Repair or maintain HVAC units and boilers Preventive Maintenance Change air filters regularly Lubricate moving parts like door hinges and locks Clean and service kitchen equipment Maintain swimming pools and spa facilities Check roof, gutters, and drainage systems Safety and Compliance Ensure fire exits and emergency lighting are operational Maintain security cameras and alarm systems Keep compliance with local safety regulations and health codes Groundskeeping Support Coordinate with landscaping for garden or lawn upkeep Maintain parking lots, pathways, and exterior lighting Guest Requests Respond promptly to guest-reported maintenance issues in rooms or public areas Provide quick fixes or escalate as necessary Record Keeping Log maintenance activities and repairs Schedule and document regular inspections and preventive maintenance
