We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, hands-on individual to assist with property maintenance, grounds work, deck maintenance, heavy lifting, repairs, construction projects, and mechanical equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform general grounds and yard maintenance Maintain and clean decks, patios, fences, walkways and other outdoor areas Pressure wash, clean, stain and seal decks as needed Inspect decks and outdoor structures for damage or maintenance needs Perform building maintenance and repairs Perform caulking and weatherproofing as needed Assist with painting, replacing hardware, screens and other repairs Assist with construction and renovation projects Operate, inspect and maintain mechanical equipment and tools Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical equipment Use hand and power tools safely and properly Move, load and unload furniture, equipment, materials and supplies Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding work Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area Assist with other property projects and maintenance duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Working knowledge of building construction and maintenance Knowledge of basic building practices and applicable building codes Experience with caulking and weatherproofing Knowledge of mechanical equipment, tools and basic equipment maintenance Ability to safely operate and troubleshoot mechanical equipment Experience with construction, remodeling, handyman work or property maintenance Knowledge of building materials and how they are properly used Knowledge of hand and power tools Experience with deck maintenance or outdoor structures is a plus Able to perform heavy lifting and physical labor Must have reliable transportation Dependable, punctual and hardworking Able to follow instructions and work independently Comfortable working outdoors in New Orleans weather Valid driver's license preferred Must take pride in quality workmanship and maintaining the property

Drug-free and alcohol-free workplace All applicable OSHA requirements and safety procedures must be followed Required protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required for each job Employees must follow all safety procedures when using tools, equipment and machinery Employees must report unsafe conditions, hazards or damaged equipment immediately

CONFIDENTIALITY & EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT

Employment is subject to execution of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and applicable restrictive-covenant agreement. The NDA will address confidential business information, customer information, property information, business practices and other information that is not publicly available. The employee may also be required to sign a non-competition and/or non-solicitation agreement, to the extent permitted and enforceable under applicable law. The specific terms and restrictions will be provided in the applicable agreement for review and signature before or at the start of employment.

PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS

90-day probationary period with a performance evaluation at the completion of the probationary period Performance evaluations every 6 months thereafter Evaluations may consider attendance, reliability, quality of work, safety practices, workmanship, productivity and overall job performance
