Job Description
Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment by performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and supporting ongoing facility improvements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and technical skills in a fast-paced setting that values teamwork and innovation. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Perform repairs using welding techniques, electrical troubleshooting with schematics, and mechanical knowledge to resolve issues efficiently. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ohmmeters to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical circuits and automation systems. Support residential painting projects and perform general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold property standards. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance logs to accurately identify issues and implement solutions. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks. Supervise or assist with small teams during maintenance projects, demonstrating leadership skills and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance within residential or manufacturing environments. Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and use testing tools such as ohmmeters. Skilled in welding techniques and mechanical repairs; familiarity with plumbing, HVAC systems, and general carpentry is preferred. Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English across diverse teams. Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management; familiarity with manufacturing or residential painting projects is a plus. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems using schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals.
