Job Description
Basic Functions:
Under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager, the maintenance mechanic performs maintenance/repairs to machine tools, welding machines, overhead cranes, air powered impacts, roll motors and other items as directed by the Superintendent.Major Duties:
1. Dis-assemble as required, boring mills-drills, lathes repairs and re-assemble, checks operation prior to placing in service 2. Perform electrical maintenance on various equipment, following all applicable safety standards 3. Perform repair on trucks, cherry picker & forklifts as may be assigned following all applicable safety standards 4. Performs maintenance/repairs to air impacts, roll motors, etc. 5. Performs miscellaneous duties as requiredQualifications:
Knowledge- High school diploma or equivalent experience; knowledge of electrical & mechanical repair practices Skills
- Must read & write the English language; use basic test equipment. Training or electrical & mechanical equipment maintenance Working Conditions
- Cold, heat, dirty, dusty, noisy, must lift 70+ lbs, must be able to bend, lift, push, pull, climb, squat, crawl, and reach overhead.
