Job Description
- The Greenkeeper works closely alongside all staff members in all aspects of turf equipment maintenance.
- This position requires a professional, driven individual who operates with the highest expectations and efficiency.
- Strong time management skills are required as it relates to competing necessary tasks in a timely manner before play.
- Individual understands the requirements and demands of turf maintenance equipment at a high level private facility.
Responsibilities:
- Greens Section Work o Fix ballmarks. o Mow greens. o Hand rake bunkers. o Blow debris.
- Walk mow tees and collars.
- Walk mow rough around greens and bunkers.
- Fill tee and fairway divots.
- Clipping disposal.
- Triplex mow approaches and runoffs.
- Mow fairways.
- Mow primary rough.
- Rotary mow green and tee surrounds.
- Spot water fairways/rough.
- Operate aerification equipment.
- Operate tractors.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Education:
- Must be attending or have graduated high school
Requirements:
- Must be motivated by demanding work environment.
- Must possess a strong work ethic and attitude.
- Weekends, holidays, and evening work.
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable and predictable attendance is required.
- Working knowledge and ability to use hand and power tools/equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand bend, use hands to handle or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk.
- Ability to lift 50lbs, and to lift overhead and push or pull lighter objects.
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
