Job Description

We are looking for a commercial General Maintenance Worker who will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building and mechanical systems. The hire will oversee the entire plant maintenance of a multi-building commercial office complex where the majority of maintenance will be self-performed. Individual is also responsible for supervising a variety of specialty subcontractors.
General Maintenance Worker Job Responsibilities:
Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment. Handles necessary repairs and maintenance. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment. Maintains sidewalks and walkways to ensure free of debris, snow, ice, etc. Installs equipment and appliances. Manages subcontractors and vendors as necessary. Follows local and state building codes. Complies with all company safety regulations. Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports. Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion. Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles if needed. Follows written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or clients. Collaborates with contractors as needed. Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions. Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools. Utilize Microsoft Office platform of products (Excel, Word, Outlook) to manage facility maintenance and interact with key stakeholders
