Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant I to join their team and support the efficient operation of the Maintenance and Operations departments. This involves having some experience with basic machinery, automotive mechanics, basic carpentry, basic plumbing, and electrical awareness. Responsibilities of the Maintenance Assistant I Assists maintenance with daily and weekly maintenance of machinery, equipment, and building areas. Assist with repair work on production machinery, equipment, and instrumentation to sustain plant operations. Assist with general facility preventative and repair maintenance. Able to perform various physical activities such as heavy lifting, pulling, and pushing up to 50 lbs. Maintain a high level of safety awareness, striving for an accident-free workplace. Strong mechanical aptitude and skilled use of a variety of hand tools, precision hand tools, and measuring instruments required. Gain knowledge and skills to work more independently on equipment and machinery. Maintain neat and organized work areas. Maintain accurate maintenance, production, quality, and operational records as required. Requirements of the Maintenance Assistant Experience in a similar role or in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Excellent communication skills. Ability to stand for prolonged periods, walk in and around machinery, walk up and down stairs, and walk up and down ladders. Able to speak, write, and understand English Valid Driver's license Compensation/Benefits for the
