Role:
Woodside Rehab & Nursing is under new management. We are now a Vierra Communities property and are seeking a Maintenance Assistant. The Maintenance Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the upkeep and smooth operation of facilities and equipment within an organization. This position involves assisting with routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting minor issues, and ensuring that all systems function efficiently to minimize downtime. The Maintenance Assistant works closely with the maintenance team to perform inspections, carry out repairs, and maintain a safe and clean working environment. By proactively identifying potential problems and responding promptly, this role helps extend the lifespan of equipment and infrastructure. Ultimately, the Maintenance Assistant contributes to the overall productivity and safety of the workplace by ensuring that maintenance operations are executed effectively and on schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Practical work knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, health & safety and fire regulations and legislation Must be familiar with HIPAA and OSHA regulations Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety practices. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Must pass a backgroun investigation. Requires proficiency in technology-driven patient care and HRIS and timekeeping/attendance software An understanding of planned and preventative maintenance schedules
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and report issues to the maintenance supervisor. Assist in performing routine maintenance and repair tasks on building systems, machinery, and equipment. Support the maintenance team in troubleshooting and resolving minor mechanical, electrical, or plumbing problems. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory of supplies. Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols during all maintenance operations. Help maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
