ELS is hiring for the position of Seasonal Maintenance Technician at our Thousand Trails Bear Cave RV Resort in Buchanan, MI. What you'll do: As a Maintenance Technician at the campground you perform various maintenance duties requiring but not limited to technical labor skills, operating a honey wagon pump system, and more. You work as a team participant along with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the community meets the quality maintenance standards set by ELS.
Your job will include:
This position begins May 1st and ends October 31st Ensure safe and sanitary handling of waste according to ELS guidelines. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Work closely with management to maintain a clean, safe and appealing property. Attend morning staff meetings to communicate daily vendor appointments and required work. Communicate regularly and professionally with management and staff and work closely with them on all special maintenance projects. Maintain grounds and common areas and keep them free from trash and debris. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment. Report maintenance concerns directly to Maintenance Supervisor. You will be required to move heavy objects and you may drive maintenance trucks to various locations on the property. Perform other general maintenance tasks around property such as mowing, weeding, edging, and general property upkeep. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Skills & experience you need: High school diploma or the equivalent experience. 1-3 years of direct technical work experience in applicable areas, including pumping, general carpentry, mowing, etc preferred but willing to train. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment. Heavy Equipment training provided. Other certifications that may be necessary, will be provided by ELS. Valid driver's license, good driving record and current auto insurance. Some weekend availability is required.
