Job Description
Facilities Caretaker (PT Night Shift at Red Hawk Intermediate) Shift 20 hours/week. Monday-Friday. Flexible evening hours, starting after 5PM. School-year only. Occasional extra hours and adjusted shifts as needed. This position also includes a $0.25 per hour shift premium which is not included in the listed minimum/maximum pay below. General Responsibilities Enhance the overall experience of students, staff, parents, and visitors in our district buildings Support of day-to-day activities, staff, events, and general maintenance within assigned building(s) Complete daily cleaning and support tasks as assigned by the Assistant Director of Facility Services Event support and set-up/tear-down Communicate regularly with building staff, Building Lead, and Assistant Director of Facility Services on daily needs and long-term planning. Ability to build strong working relationships with co-workers and staff Respond in a courteous and helpful manner to all members of the community, treating them as our customers Problem solving through the day to best support school activities Support the overall goals of the district, Facility Services Team, and Operations Department Additional duties as directed by the Building Lead or Assistant Director of Facility Services Skills Ability to contribute to a working environment where people thrive, and to maintain spaces that provide a positive experience for the user Proven abilities in the maintenance of large buildings This position requires the operation of basic cleaning equipment including backpack vacuums and floor scrubbing machines. Enthusiasm to complete assigned daily tasks while being flexible to adjust to changing needs of the building Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, physically complete all tasks assigned, and move around the building throughout the assigned shift.
