MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
Burgaflex North America, a leading manufacturer of hose and tube assemblies for the heavy truck, agricultural, and construction industries, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. With three manufacturing facilities in the Fenton/Grand Blanc/Holly area and a strong commitment to promoting from within, Burgaflex offers opportunities for growth and career advancement. In this role, you will work alongside the Maintenance Team to ensure production equipment, facility systems, and support equipment remain operational, safe, and running efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in maintaining and repairing production equipment to minimize downtime. Ensure all safety devices, machine guards, and controls are functioning properly and meet
OSHA/MIOSHA
requirements. Support the maintenance and upkeep of auxiliary, secondary, and support equipment. Perform preventative maintenance activities and basic troubleshooting. Help maintain the facility, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition. Operate a forklift as needed to support maintenance activities. Use hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical equipment safely and effectively. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Minimum one year of maintenance experience required. Minimum one year of mechanical and electrical experience required. PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience preferred. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to safely operate a forklift. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment. Schedule & Compensation Full-time position. Typical schedule consists of 10-hour day shifts . Employees must be available to work overtime as needed to support production schedules and business demands. All overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate.
Starting pay:
$17.00 to $20.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications.
