Job Description
A maintenance helper works alongside fully qualified maintenance technicians, electricians, operators and instrument technicians to learn the skills of the trade. As a maintenance helper, your responsibilities are to assist with a variety of duties, including installing equipment, maintaining mechanical systems, and repairing machines. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skillset. Patrol and monitor work areas and examine tools and equipment in order to detect unsafe conditions or violations of procedures or safety rules. Examine objects, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs. Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts. Attending training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use. Communicating with Supervisors, & Peers- Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Getting Information
