Job Description

KEY FOCUS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform work safely Daily repair and maintenance of all plant equipment (production, administration, warehouse, etc.) as directed by Maintenance Mechanic. Support of any process improvement project work Generate/complete maintenance work orders via CMMS platform (SAP) Understand production processes to identify and correct any inefficiency Work towards becoming the technical expert for all production related equipment Support production activities to reduce downtime and increase efficiency Offer suggestions for continuous process improvements Good understanding of electric wiring and repairs Experienced in welding, grinding, parts fabrication, and machining Introductory knowledge of electrical, controls, instrumentation Basic computer skills including email, MS Office Suite/Google Suite, online applications
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES REQUIREMENTS
Strong attention to detail and ability to organize priorities Strong mechanical aptitude Must be able to work well with others and follow directions Ability to write and communicate clearly and effectively on work orders and safety improvement recommendations Must maintain poise under pressure Must have basic math comprehension and problem solving skills Good physical condition to support movement up 2-4 levels of operation (stairs, ladders, etc.) Ability to troubleshoot system performance related issues to solve basic problems and find a safe effective solution Must be capable of reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, mechanical/electrical drawings and procedure manuals
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Three to five years of production maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Welding/fabrication background preferred Fork truck and JLG lift operation experience preferred Ability to work at heights exceeding 50 feet Physical ability to safely operate motorized vehicles (forklift, scissor lift, aerial manlift) Ability to lift up to 50 pounds routinely throughout the work day Valid driver's license
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Regularly works in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, and often works near moving mechanical parts, motorized equipment
  • Daily contact with high temperature materials and equipment conditions

Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
