Supportive Living, Assisted Living and Specialized Dementia care to 40 residents. We are a 5 Star facility rated by CMS and have a long tradition of excellence by providing compassionate and dignified care. The Maintenance Assistant performs maintenance and custodial operations in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner. DUTIES Include, but are not limited to: Make daily rounds (indoorsout) Inspect all work order logs for immediate repairsplanned repairs Perform floor care, minor repairs, furniture moving, resident room preparation, painting, trash removal, laundry transportation, etc. (daily as needed). Inspect storage rooms, workrooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc. for upkeepsupply control. Createmaintain a safe atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis. Attendparticipate in annual facility in-service training programs as scheduled (i.e. OSHA, TB, HIPAA, Abuse Prevention, Safety, etc.) Follow established safety regulations in the use of equipmentsupplies at all times. Ensure that supplies, equipment, etc. are maintained to provide a safe and comfortable environment. Be prepared to handle emergencies as they arise Be sure that appropriate medical waste is disposed of in accordance with our facility's established procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent Experience in maintenance/plant related position. Has knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators as well as various mechanical, electrical,plumbing systems. Knowledgeable in building codessafety regulations. Has the ability to push, pull, move &/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must be reliable Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Available for on-call status Must have weekend availability No phone calls please.
