Job Description
Cornerstone is looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance person to join our team. At this time the primary location of this position will be Cornerstone Residence of Bagley, with occasional maintenance support at our other Cornerstone communities in Fosston, Oklee, and, at times, Kelliher. If you enjoy fixing things, solving problems, working with your hands, and taking pride in a job well done, we'd love to hear from you! What You'll Do Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting for buildings, equipment, and systems. Maintain heating/air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, emergency, security, kitchen, and other facility systems. Complete maintenance work orders and facility inspections. Perform general carpentry, painting, flooring, and building repairs. Maintain grounds, landscaping, parking areas, sidewalks, and seasonal snow/ice removal. Prepare resident units for new move-ins and complete turnover repairs and cleaning. Coordinate and oversee outside vendors, contractors, and service providers. What We're Looking For High school diploma/GED plus specialized training of less than two years. 3-5 years of experience in a similar maintenance position. General knowledge of carpentry and experience using hand and power tools. Electrical, mechanical, or building systems training preferred. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Valid Minnesota driver's license and reliable access to a personal vehicle. Boiler license preferred; must be obtained within one year of employment. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and follow written and verbal directions. Ability to operate a computer for tracking maintenance activity and records Schedule Typical hours are Monday through Friday during the day. The position requires availability to coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed. Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required in the event of an emergency.
