SCHEDULE

This position works a 12-hour rotating shift. Monthly rotation (7a-7p one month, 7p-7a the next). Every other weekend (Fri.-Sun.) Shift differential: Hours from 3p-11p=an extra $1.25 per hour / 11p-7a=an extra $2.00 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY

Maintain and repair processing equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Performs generalized welding, electrical, plumbing and/or carpentry repairs or work orders. Replaces and repairs gear boxes and conveyor belts. Replaces and builds drive pulleys and shafts. Maintains, repairs, or replaces; cutting equipment, bearings, pumps, and piping. Performs preventative maintenance.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED). Minimum of six months related experience.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak English effectively with customers and employees. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to use welder, forklift, skid steer, various hand tools and power tools, power washer, water hoses, ladders, and various types of processing equipment. This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to constantly use hands and fingers, stand, and walk. Will frequently climb, crawl, and use arms to reach outwards and push/pull.
