Job Description
Maintenance Technician $24-$28/hr Overview Join a growing manufacturing company as a Maintenance Technician and build your career in a hands-on, technical environment. This position is ideal for someone with maintenance experience who is looking to expand their skills in industrial equipment, electrical systems, automation, HVAC, hydraulics, and robotics. You will play a key role in keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment improvement projects. Responsibilities Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, HVAC systems, automation equipment, and facility systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues to minimize equipment downtime. Inspect, maintain, and repair injection molding machines and supporting production equipment. Service pumps, air compressors, chillers, rooftop HVAC units, and related facility equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase power systems. Assist with PLC troubleshooting and automation equipment maintenance, including robotics and automated manufacturing systems. Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable equipment performance. Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks and document work performed. Support equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and continuous improvement projects. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Utilize hand and power tools to complete maintenance and repair work. Accurately document repairs, preventative maintenance activities, and work orders in the maintenance management system. Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and all plant safety requirements. Work closely with production teams to improve equipment reliability and overall plant performance. Qualifications Preferred Experience Mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, facilities, or technical environment. Experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, machinery, or facility systems. Basic electrical troubleshooting skills with a desire to continue learning. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Experience with HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, compressors, conveyors, or similar equipment is a plus. Exposure to PLCs, automation systems, robotics, or controls is beneficial but not required. Understanding of preventative maintenance practices and equipment reliability principles. Experience using maintenance software or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is preferred. Commitment to workplace safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures. A strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies. Interest in developing skills in electrical systems, PLCs, automation, robotics, and injection molding equipment. Work Environment This role works within a clean manufacturing environment supporting production equipment, injection molding machinery, HVAC systems, automation technologies, robotics, pumps, compressors, and facility infrastructure. Technicians use a variety of mechanical and electrical tools while working in a collaborative team focused on safety, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of New Brighton, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
