Job Description
Branson's Promised Land Zoo is looking for a dependable, hardworking Maintenance / Farm Hand to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is comfortable with hands-on work, and can handle a variety of maintenance and farm-related tasks in a zoological environment. Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the zoo. Assist with fencing, gates, enclosures, buildings, and other facility projects. Help with farm and grounds maintenance, cleaning, hauling, and upkeep. Assist with construction and renovation projects as needed. Operate basic hand and power tools safely. Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Assist with animal-area maintenance while following all zoo safety procedures. Complete physically demanding tasks and other duties as assigned. Requirements Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, including significant heat and cold. Must be able to regularly lift and carry 50+ pounds. Must have reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Must be comfortable performing physical labor for extended periods. Must be willing to work around animals, mud, dust, manure, and other outdoor conditions. Must be able to follow safety procedures and instructions. Must be dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn. Preferred Qualifications Framing or construction experience General carpentry experience Fencing experience Welding or metalwork experience Farm, ranch, landscaping, or groundskeeping experience Experience using hand and power tools Previous maintenance experience What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who shows up, works hard, takes pride in their work, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
