Job Description

Lee's Summit Parks and Recreation is an accredited, gold medal award-winning agency with over 45 full-time professionals and over 300 seasonal and part-time staff who provide the Lee's Summit community with dozens of quality recreational opportunities. EOE Employment at LSPR guarantees the opportunity to learn communication and organizational skills, professionalism, and civic responsibility while building outstanding personal and work relationships. $15.00/hourly The Facility Attendant assists with the operations and maintenance of the assigned facility, including providing patron services, equipment orientation, monitoring of activities to ensure compliance with rules and regulations, and the performance of general facility maintenance.
Job Scope:
No supervisory or budgetary responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Cleans all floors in facility, including corridors, walkways, and offices through sweeping, mopping, or picking up debris; operates cleaning equipment and machines as assigned. 2. Organizes cleaning areas, storage rooms and supply rooms. 3. Empties trash, replenishes soap and paper dispensers. 4. Treats wood with proper cleaning materials, including hardwood floors. 5. Performs set up and take down of rooms for classes, gymnasium, special events and activities. 6. Performs swimming pool/natatorium maintenance as required. 7. Maintains exterior perimeter of assigned facility by keeping walk clean and free from debris, de-weeding, flower beds, picking up trash, snow removal, etc. 8. Monitors walk/run track and all equipment; coordinates waiting list system of equipment during peak hours. 10. Maintains cleanliness of fitness equipment, fitness area, gymnasium, restrooms and locker rooms. 11. Ensures proper use of equipment by patrons, enforces fitness area rules and regulations and maintains safe environment for patron use. 12. Completes incident/accident reports promptly and completely and immediately reports any incidents, injuries, or accidents to management. 13. Notifies management staff of needed repairs. 14. Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings. 15. Ensures enforcement of rules and regulations of
LSPR. 16.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Must be at least 15 years of age; and, 2. Basic First Aid and CPR/AED required within thirty (30) days of date of hire.
