The Century Group Inc. is looking to hire a painter / maintenance assistant to join our team for a group of four apartment complexes in the South County area. View our website at www.centurygroupinc.com for property information and locations. The job is full time M-F 8:00-4:30. The primary duty of this position is painting apartments to prepare them for the next tenant in addition to light maintenance (hanging blinds, changing light bulbs, etc.) and assisting the maintenance technicians with any other items associated with preparing an apartment for the next tenant. Some units can just be touched up or a partial paint, others require a full paint, but all units for the month must be completed timely by the end of the month. After hours emergency service call duty is rotated between maintenance and assistant maintenance techs 1 week at a time, approximately 1 week in every 17 weeks or only about 3 to 4 weeks a year. Emergency maintenance duty consists of but not limited to: installing a portable AC unit or space heaters for no heat or AC, shutting off water for a water leak, calling a plumber for a sewer back up, etc. Emergency snow removal on walk ways is also required.

Must have the following:

2 years experience painting Your own tools, painter's tools (brushes, roller, drop cloths, ladder etc.) and basic hand tools (screw drivers, pliers, hammer, screw gun, etc.) Your own transportation Live in a near by area (with in 30 minutes or so) Health insurance options and quotes can be provided at interview.
