We improve healthcare for families, advance socioeconomic equity and activate conscious leaders Job Summary The Part-Time Temporary Maintenance/Custodian will perform general maintenance, custodial, and janitorial duties to support the upkeep, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of assigned facilities and equipment. Responsibilities may include basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating and cooling maintenance, general building repairs, cleaning, and preparation of spaces for events. The position will perform routine maintenance and address basic repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Duties/Responsibilities Troubleshoots basic facility and equipment issues to determine necessary repairs or maintenance. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician, including minor drywall repairs, painting, door repairs, and repairs to other building fixtures. Performs routine maintenance and upkeep of building systems and facilities. Assists with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating and cooling, and other general maintenance tasks. Uses building blueprints, equipment manuals, or other resources as needed to complete maintenance and repair work. Performs custodial and janitorial duties, including cleaning and maintaining assigned areas, restrooms, common spaces, and other facilities. Empties trash and recycling and maintains cleanliness and organization of indoor and outdoor areas. Monitors facilities for cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs and reports issues to the appropriate supervisor. Assists with room, furniture, and equipment setup and breakdown for events held at the Core Collective. Maintains tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. Follows established safety procedures and uses appropriate personal protective equipment when required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance staff. Basic knowledge of general building maintenance, custodial practices, carpentry, and repair. Ability to safely use common hand tools and power tools. Ability to perform basic repairs and routine maintenance tasks. Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Ability to work independently and prioritize assigned tasks. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with maintenance and custodial work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving equipment or supplies as needed.
Position Type :
Part-Time, Temporary Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
