Set on 148 acres just minutes from Yellowstone National Park, the Ranch is known for authentic Western hospitality, exceptional dining, outdoor adventures, and unforgettable guest experiences. The beauty of the Ranch may be what guests remember first, but it's the people who create the experiences they remember most. Together, we take pride in caring for this special place—preserving its history, stewarding its natural surroundings, and creating meaningful experiences for every guest who visits. Whether you're welcoming guests, preparing memorable meals, caring for our historic property, or supporting operations behind the scenes, every role contributes to creating unforgettable experiences while helping shape the next chapter of Lone Mountain Ranch's legacy. Hands-On Work. Lasting Skills As a Seasonal Maintenance Assistant, you'll work alongside our Facilities & Maintenance team to help keep Lone Mountain Ranch looking its best and operating smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building hands-on maintenance experience while working on a wide variety of projects across the property. No two days are the same. One day you may be assisting with routine repairs, the next helping prepare guest cabins, maintaining outdoor spaces, stacking firewood, or supporting seasonal property projects. If you're dependable, eager to learn, and enjoy working with your hands, this role offers valuable experience in a supportive team environment. What You'll Do Assist Maintenance Technicians with routine repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the property. Help maintain guest cabins, employee housing, public spaces, shops, and operational facilities. Perform basic maintenance tasks involving mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and building systems under the guidance of experienced team members. Support seasonal property needs, including snow removal, stacking firewood, painting, grounds maintenance, and other outdoor projects. Complete regular inspections of facilities and equipment, reporting maintenance concerns as they arise. Respond to maintenance requests promptly while helping prioritize daily work assignments. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, equipment, and maintenance vehicles as trained. Assist with maintaining organized shops, equipment, tools, and maintenance inventory. Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized, and professional work environment. Work collaboratively with departments across the ranch to help create an exceptional experience for guests and employees. Who Thrives Here This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, and wants to learn valuable maintenance skills. Successful team members are dependable, adaptable, safety-minded, and willing to jump in wherever help is needed. They enjoy working both independently and alongside others and understand that behind every memorable guest experience is a well-maintained property. What You'll Bring Required Qualifications Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn. Positive attitude and reliability. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team. Comfortable performing physically active work throughout the day. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as business needs require. Preferred Qualifications Previous maintenance, construction, landscaping, facilities, or mechanical experience is helpful but not required. Basic familiarity with hand tools or power tools. Interest in building a career in facilities maintenance or skilled trades. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, crouch, and work on uneven terrain for extended periods. Perform both indoor and outdoor work in changing weather conditions, including heat, rain, snow, and cold temperatures. Safely operate maintenance equipment and tools.
