Lake County Job Opening The Lake County Maintenance Department is accepting applications for: Maintenance Worker
II QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess 1 year of experience in maintenance and general cleaning and be familiar with methods, materials, and tools used in building cleaning work; possess demonstrated experience in maintaining compliance of Safety Data Sheets; and 1 year of experience in plumbing and restroom fixtures, basic carpentry, sheet rocking, and finish work on office equipment, and electrical work with 110 and 240 current. Must be able to perform routine maintenance and cleaning work; understand and carry out oral and written directions; and establish and maintain cooperative relationships with coworkers.
DUTIES:
Perform manual labor and routine maintenance tasks, including moving file cabinets, furniture, and boxes, changing light bulbs, painting, and repairing small items; clean up after projects are completed; mow and spray lawns, prune shrubs, and clean leaves off of the roof; shovel snow and clear ice and snow from sidewalks and entrances; spray building for insects; perform interoffice mail delivery and pickup (as backup); clean inside and outside of the building, including restrooms, and hallways; maintain chemical room and Safety Data Sheets; operate power and manual tools; perform electrical work with 110 and 240 current; perform basic carpentry, sheet rocking, and finish work on office equipment; and perform other duties as required.
MUST PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK DAYS/HOURS
Monday through Friday 7:30-4:30
WAGE:
$19.00 per hour
