Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Maintenance and Leasing Assistant to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our properties are well-maintained, safe, and appealing to current and prospective residents. Your proactive approach will support our leasing efforts, coordinate maintenance activities, and uphold the high standards that define Mill House Properties. This is primarily a hands-on field position involving:
- Property showings
- Move-in/move-out and annual inspections
- Basic maintenance and repair tasks

(We are specifically looking for someone interested in a stable, hands-on support role, not someone primarily seeking a Realtor, sales, or property manager career-track position. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys practical, day-to-day operational work rather than sales or office management.) The position will start at approximately 20 hours per week for the summer, with the potential to grow into a full-time 40-hour-per-week position for the right person if desired. Responsibilities Assist with routine maintenance, including repairs, inspections, and preventative upkeep across multiple residential properties. Support the leasing team by preparing units for new tenants, conducting property tours, and handling resident inquiries professionally. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory of supplies.
Typical tasks include:
- Daily property showings and inspections
- Replacing blinds/screens and filters
- Changing lightbulbs and smoke detectors
- Installing towel bars and curtain rods
- Caulking tubs/showers
- Swapping basic toilet parts
- Installing portable/window AC units
- Simple troubleshooting and cleaning
- Hauling items to the dump
- Placing and removing yard signs Requirements Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building repair roles within residential or manufacturing environments.
Customer service orientation with excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking is a plus.
