We believe that each team member contributes directly to our growth and success as a company. Come grow with us! We are seeking a Factory Maintenance & Floater to join our team in Hickory, NC! Job Summary The Maintenance / Factory Floater is a versatile team member responsible for supporting facility operations through basic maintenance, equipment repairs, housekeeping, and general labor duties. This position requires a mechanically inclined individual who can troubleshoot and repair minor equipment and facility issues, and assist with production support, 5S initiatives, cleaning, and other tasks as needed throughout the plant. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, safety-conscious, and willing to perform a variety of duties to support daily operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks on equipment, tools, fixtures, and facility systems. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with equipment repairs to minimize downtime. Conduct routine inspections of machinery, equipment, and facility areas. Complete preventive maintenance activities as assigned. Support plant-wide 5S initiatives, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining work areas. Perform general housekeeping duties throughout the facility, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and common area maintenance. Assist production departments as needed Move equipment, materials, and supplies safely throughout the facility. Assist with facility improvement projects and other special assignments. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and equipment issues to management. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain regular attendance and dependable work performance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous maintenance, manufacturing, construction, mechanical, or handyman experience preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand and power tools. Ability to identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues. Basic understanding of workplace safety practices. Forklift experience is a plus (or ability to become certified). Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday. Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to dust or debris. Ability to safely perform physical labor for extended periods. The employee must be willing to perform a wide range of maintenance, cleaning, organizational, and general labor tasks to support efficient plant operations. This position works Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
