performs unskilled to difficult skilled and technical work in the construction, maintenance, placement and repair of public infrastructures and facilities such as streets, sidewalks, drainage, signage, bridges, and related structures for the Street Department. Street Service Worker I Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school or GED Valid NC driver's license or valid out-of-state driver's license with the ability to obtain a valid NC driver's license within sixty days of employment and good driving record Ability to obtain Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) license within one year of employment Flagger certification or ability to obtain within six months Street Service Worker II Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school or GED Two years of experience in construction and maintenance work Valid NC Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) or valid out-of-state Class A CDL with the ability to transfer to NC within sixty days of employment and good driving record Flagger certification or ability to obtain within six months Street Service Worker III Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school or GED Four years of experience in construction and maintenance work Valid NC Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) or valid out-of-state Class A CDL with the ability to transfer to NC within sixty days of employment and good driving record Flagger certification or ability to obtain within six months Work Schedule Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm. 40 hours per week.
