Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team and ensure the optimal upkeep of outdoor grounds and facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining landscapes, operating grounds maintenance equipment, performing repairs, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Your expertise in mechanical systems, landscaping, and outdoor work will help create a safe, attractive, and well-maintained environment for our community or organization. This position offers an engaging opportunity to apply your hands-on skills in a dynamic outdoor setting. Duties Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and gardening to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, snow plows, and hardscape machinery safely and efficiently Conduct routine inspections of irrigation systems, identify issues with plants or landscaping features, and make necessary repairs or adjustments Manage pest control by applying pesticides responsibly following safety protocols and environmental guidelines Execute snow plowing and de-icing procedures during winter months to ensure safe access to pathways and parking areas Assist with tree trimming, grounds cleanup, planting projects, and landscape redesigns as needed Follow all safety procedures diligently while handling tools and equipment to prevent accidents or injuries Qualifications Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating power tools and landscaping equipment Proven outdoor work experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping roles Strong knowledge of horticulture practices including plant identification and lawn care techniques Ability to operate irrigation systems and troubleshoot related issues effectively Familiarity with pesticide management and safety protocols for chemical application Experience with hardscape installation or repair is a plus Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred Join us if you're passionate about maintaining beautiful outdoor environments!
