The City of Minot is accepting applications for the position of Traffic Maintenance Worker in the Traffic Engineering Department of Public Works. This position is open to all qualified internal and external applicants with an application deadline of Monday, September 14th 2026.Nature of WorkThis entry-level maintenance position performs a variety of traffic related support tasks. Tasks are related to street signs, traffic signals, streetlights and pavement markings. Work is performed under the continuing supervision of the Traffic Engineer or Traffic Foreman. May give guidance and training to seasonal employees and less-experienced maintenance workers. Please see the attached job description for complete details. Education, Experience, Other RequirementsGraduation from high school and one year of experience in construction or equipment operation activities; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Possession of a valid North Dakota driver's license. Certification by International Municipal Signal Association for Work Zone Traffic Control Safety within two (2) years of employment. Compensation and BenetsThe assigned salary range for the position of Traffic Maintenance Worker under the 2026 City of Minot Annual Pay Plan is a Grade 50, which is an earning potential of $20.96- $31.11 per hour ($43,593-$64,713 annually)This is a full time, FLSA Non-Exempt position eligible for overtime.
