Overview We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker to oversee the upkeep and general maintenance of a private residence. This role involves performing routine repairs, ensuring the property remains in excellent condition, and addressing any maintenance needs that arise on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle various maintenance tasks efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance issues and perform necessary repairs. Perform routine tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and landscaping as needed. Respond promptly to maintenance requests to ensure the safety and comfort of residents. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring safety standards are met. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Collaborate with household members or property managers to prioritize urgent repairs and ongoing upkeep. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and best practices for residential maintenance. Qualifications Proven experience in residential maintenance or a similar role. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, and general handyman skills. Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, climbing, and operating tools. Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude. Valid driver's license is preferred but not mandatory depending on the scope of work required at the residence.
