Job Description

Position Overview:
This is a seasonal position. Perform general repairs in and around the hotel as needed. Ensure organization and tidiness of pool areas and common areas. Conduct tests of pools and spa to maintain proper levels. These duties may be described as, but are not limited to: Under the direction of the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, perform general repair and maintenance of any and all equipment found in and around the hotel. Maintains the basic upkeep of all rooms and common areas by ensuring all furniture, appliances, and electrical equipment such as televisions, refrigerators, and light fixtures are in working order Report major repair needs to the General Manager Ensure the interior and exterior of the hotel is well maintained Respond to guest room calls as required. Assist in setup/cleanup of guest rooms at the beginning and end of season Repairs or replaces all PTAC systems such as individual air conditioning units as needed Assist other departmental workers as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Must read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace. Must have all-around skills and be able to make minor electrical, plumbing, PTAC, painting, and carpentry repairs. Must possess a high level of accuracy and organization. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch for full cleaning and maintenance tasks. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular and continuing basis, frequently lift 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity. Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
