The ideal candidate will be proactive, dependable, and committed to maintaining high standards of sanitation and facility upkeep. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums. Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures. Conduct routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and sanitation to ensure a hygienic environment. Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and proper floor care techniques to preserve their appearance and safety. Complete maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting (residential or commercial), and facilities upkeep to support overall building operations. Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while following safety protocol adherence at all times. Support heavy lifting activities using safe lifting practices when moving furniture or supplies to prevent injury. Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report issues promptly for resolution. Provide excellent customer service by responding professionally to inquiries or requests from staff or visitors regarding facility needs. Qualifications Proven custodial experience or janitorial background with knowledge of commercial cleaning standards. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and related tools. Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices. Strong attention to detail in sanitation practices and facility maintenance routines. Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance including minor repairs, painting, and industrial cleaning techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and visitors.
