Job Description
Marina Yard Helper We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Marina Yard Helper to join our team. This is a hands-on position supporting the daily operations of our marina and boatyard. The right candidate will assist with boat handling, maintenance and repair projects, yard organization, seasonal preparation, and general facility upkeep. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has basic mechanical ability, and is interested in gaining hands-on experience in the marine industry. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, follows directions, works safely, and is willing to learn new skills. Responsibilities Assist with moving, positioning, launching, and hauling boats as directed. Support marine mechanics and technicians with maintenance and repair projects. Wash, clean, polish, and detail boats. Assist with bottom preparation and painting. Help with boat blocking, storage preparation, and seasonal commissioning. Remove shrink wrap and prepare boats for the boating season. Perform basic mechanical, maintenance, and repair tasks under supervision. Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment. Keep the marina yard, shop, company vehicles, and work areas clean and organized. Assist with loading, unloading, moving, and transporting materials, equipment, and supplies. Follow all company safety procedures and workplace guidelines. Participate in hands-on training and opportunities to develop additional marine industry skills. Qualifications Previous experience in a marina, boatyard, preferred but not required. Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools. Ability to safely lift, carry, and move heavy materials and equipment. Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a strong work ethic. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to follow directions and work both independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license required.
