Repair or replace basic hardware, door handles, locks, hinges, shelving, furniture, fixtures, and other building components. Perform basic plumbing repairs such as replacing faucets, shower heads, toilet components, and clearing minor clogs. Perform basic electrical-related tasks such as replacing light bulbs, switches, outlets, and fixtures Patch and repair walls, ceilings, and other surfaces. Perform painting, touch-up work, caulking, and general cosmetic repairs. Assemble, install, move, and repair furniture and equipment. Maintain and repair doors, windows, cabinets, railings, and other fixtures. Conduct routine inspections of buildings, rooms, common areas, and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules. Maintain exterior areas, including basic landscaping, snow/ice removal assistance, and general grounds upkeep as needed. Assist with preparation of facilities for inspections, audits, agency events, and other activities. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies. Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance work and report outstanding repairs to the supervisor. Monitor maintenance supplies and notify the supervisor when materials or equipment need to be ordered. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors when specialized repairs are required. Ensure work areas are left clean and safe after completing repairs. Follow all agency safety policies, infection-control procedures, OSHA requirements, and applicable facility regulations. Immediately report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, security concerns, or other hazards to the appropriate supervisor. Assist with emergency situations, including water leaks, power outages, heating/cooling issues, and other facility-related emergencies. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy and dignity of clients and staff while working throughout the facility. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
