Water/Wastewater Maintenance Worker (CDL Class A)About the Role We're hiring a Water/Wastewater Maintenance Worker to perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant on an assigned shift. This is a union position with strong benefits and a clear path to certification.
Pay:
$21.40 per hourWhat You'll Do Perform routine servicing and corrective maintenance of water and wastewater collection systems Clean vehicles, heavy equipment, pumps, tools, and other stationary/portable equipment Perform routine inspections of vehicles and equipment; carry out minor maintenance and lubrication (oil changes, greasing, etc.) Operate and maintain vehicles, equipment, and tools to load, unload, haul, and spread sand, gravel, dirt, and/or waste products; dig and refill ditches and trenches Assist operations and maintenance personnel with materials, supplies, and tools Maintain grounds and buildings — mowing, trimming, raking, and general landscaping care Respond to pages and on-call shifts as requested by management Work safely and adhere to established safety procedures What You Bring High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license Valid Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement ( required ) Preferred Qualifications Must obtain a Level I wastewater certification within 18 months of hire Basic knowledge of the operation and maintenance of vehicles, equipment, farm machinery, pumps, and equipment used in water/wastewater systems Familiarity with hand and power tools commonly used in vehicle, equipment, and building maintenance What We Offer Union position Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits PTO accrual Paid Holidays Clothing/boot allowance POST-probationary period #WaterTreatment #WastewaterJobs #CDLJobs #ClassACDL #UnionJobs #MaintenanceJobs #UtilityJobs #
