Neighborhood Response Maintenance Worker (Part Time, PERS Eligible) City of Henderson - 4.0 Henderson, NV Job Details $30.51 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Driver's License Pest control chemical handling Full Job Description JOB The City of Henderson announces an examination to create a consideration for hire list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Neighborhood Response Maintenance Worker (Part Time) in the Department of Community Development and Services. The consideration for hire list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year. Under general supervision, performs functional and technical tasks, semi-skilled, skilled, and manual labor associated with neighborhood and rapid response maintenance activities of the Public Response Section on City right-of-way areas and other public and private property; and performs related duties as assigned.
Schedule:
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 7:00am to 5:00pm. Schedule subject to change at department's discretion.
Position Details:
This is a part-time, PERS eligible position. The work schedule will consist of an average of 29 hours/week. Hours per week may increase or decrease based on Department needs. This position does not qualify for employer-paid benefits (other than PERS), wage increases, or union representation.
PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT
Incumbent will be exposed to varying weather conditions and outdoor environments including excessive heat and cold. Travel between worksites and locations will be necessary via City motor vehicle. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Graduation from high school or the equivalent Three (3) years of full-time experience maintaining public right-of-way areas, public property, and/or private property in the application of property maintenance codes or operating trucks, trimmers, sprayers, and other equipment used to perform maintenance responsibilities and duties
Note:
An equivalent combination of related education, experience, and training may be considered Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver's license, as defined by NRS 483 Must possess and maintain a Nevada Restricted Use Pesticide Certificate from the Nevada Cooperative Extension Service within the first twelve (12) months of employment, as a condition of continued employment All required licenses and certificates, as mandated by local, state, and federal laws, or as required herein, must be obtained and maintained at the incumbent's expense
