Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and weeding to maintain healthy and attractive outdoor areas. Operate a variety of grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems with precision and safety. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth and safety. Apply pesticides responsibly following safety protocols to control pests while protecting plants and the environment. Carry out snow plowing during winter months to ensure clear pathways and safe access around the property. Assist with hardscape projects such as installing or repairing walkways, patios, or retaining walls as needed. Requirements Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of grounds maintenance and landscaping practices. Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and heavy machinery like excavators. Ability to identify various plants, trees, pests, and weeds; knowledge of horticulture principles is preferred. Familiarity with pesticide management procedures and safety protocols to handle chemicals responsibly. Skilled in the operation of hand tools, lawn care equipment, snow plows, and other groundskeeping machinery. Knowledge of safety procedures related to outdoor work environments to prevent accidents or injuries. Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy objects, operating machinery for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
