Job Description

We Offer Competitive Salary, Full Benefits Package, Paid time Off, Pension and Opportunities for Professional Growth Williamsville Suburban is currently seeking a full time Maintenance Assistant . This position is responsible for ensuring resident and staff safety by being responsible for repairs to the buildings and furnishings, as well as up-keep of the grounds including lawn care and snow/ice removal. Ø This is an 1199 SEIU Union position.
Duties/Responsibilities :
Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures. Manage heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality. Plan and schedule repairs. Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard. Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry. Clean and assist with upkeep of facility. Upkeep of grounds, including lawn care and snow ice removal. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 18 yrs. age required, HS diploma or equivalent preferred. Related work experience required. Basic knowledge of tools and their use. Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and painting skills. Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions required.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend and crawl into awkward spaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
