We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Seasonal Property Assistant to support the care and maintenance of a private residence, animal sanctuary, and surrounding conservation property in Woodstock, NY. This is a seasonal/temporary position for approximately three months, working 3-4 days per week, at $24 per hour. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is comfortable with physical work, and has a practical, can-do approach to property maintenance and projects. Responsibilities Assist with general property maintenance, clean-up, and seasonal preparation. Perform light repairs and carpentry, including maintenance of fences, gates, and other structures. Assist with landscaping and grounds care, including raking, leaf blowing, pruning, weeding, and general clean-up. Split and stack firewood and assist with moving materials and equipment. Clean, maintain, and properly store tools, machinery, and equipment. Assist with seasonal maintenance and preparation of outdoor equipment and machinery. Operate basic power and garden tools safely and responsibly. Help maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment around the residences and property. Work comfortably outdoors in varying weather conditions. Communicate proactively regarding projects, maintenance needs, and any issues that arise. Qualifications Previous experience in property maintenance, landscaping, construction, carpentry, or a related hands-on field preferred. Comfortable using basic hand and power tools. General carpentry and repair skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 80 pounds. Reliable, organized, and attentive to detail. Positive attitude and willingness to take on a variety of tasks. Comfortable working around animals. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Discretion and respect for privacy are essential. Must be authorized to work in the United States. This is a hands-on position with a variety of projects throughout the property. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, notices what needs to be done, and is willing to pitch in wherever needed.
