This position works as part of a landscape maintenance crew and performs assigned work according to Rock Shelter's standards for Quality, Communication, Accountability, and Teamwork. The Crew Member is expected to follow direction from the Crew Leader, work effectively as part of a team, take pride in their work, and maintain a professional appearance and attitude on every property. Duties Perform mowing, string trimming, edging, blowing, bed maintenance, weeding, pruning and trimming, plant care, mulching, seasonal cleanups, leaf removal, and other assigned services. Follow proper horticultural practices and instructions provided by the Crew Leader. Assist with identifying plant health issues, irrigation problems, pest or disease concerns, and property deficiencies and report them to the Crew Leader. Follow the daily schedule and tasks provided by the Crew Leader. Complete assigned tasks efficiently and maintain quality throughout the workday. Work cooperatively with other crew members and assist with tasks as needed. Maintain a professional, positive, and respectful work environment. Communicate questions, concerns, property issues, or other field conditions to the Crew Leader. Maintain and care for landscape maintenance equipment, tools, materials, and supplies. Clean and properly store equipment at the end of the workday. Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment immediately. Assist with properly and safely loading and unloading trucks and trailers. Maintain accountability for tools, equipment, materials, and supplies assigned to the crew. Maintain a clean and professional appearance while working on client properties. Follow all Rock Shelter safety policies and procedures. Assist with snow removal services in the winter season. Qualifications Previous professional landscape maintenance experience preferred. Basic knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, tools and equipment preferred. Ability to safely operate commercial landscape equipment. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew. Strong work ethic, reliability, communication, and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn proper landscape maintenance and horticultural practices. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while following company direction. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work.
