Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team in a long term care/skilled nursing/assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities operate smoothly and efficiently, providing a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants, while remaining compliant with state regulations for long term care facilities. Duties Perform routine maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, concrete, and roofing. Conduct repairs and replacements as necessary to maintain functionality and safety standards. Execute residential painting projects to enhance the aesthetic appeal of facilities. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed and materials used. Has rotating (24 hour) on-call responsibilities Performs assigned work orders daily and prioritizes tasks when necessary Understands and able to direct fire dept. on fire panels and layout of the campus Responds to emergency drills Fills in as Driver pickup and dropping residents off at appointments Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical systems preferred. Previous experience in maintenance. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration. Customer service-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality work. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
