Janitorial/Maintenance Facilities Worker
Job Description
Mission :
The mission of Family Services is to assist individuals, families, and the community in meeting the complexities of daily living by fostering the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships and promote healthy, independent personal development, and responsible social functioning. The Building Supervisor performs a wide range of maintenance, cleaning and oversite duties that ensures all Family Services properties are clean, sanitary, safe, and properly and pro-actively maintained.
Responsibilities:
Reporting director to the Manager of Administrative Operations, the Building Facilities Worker plans, performs and completes routine tasks to ensure the facilities are consistently clean, tidy, and sanitary, and all offices and common areas are clean of refuse and stocked with an adequate supply sanitary item. Conducts regular and routine site walk throughs with administrators and program leaders to identify areas that need attention. Participates in administrative triage meetings to ensure all newly identified tasks or concerns are followed up on and resolved. Oversees the assignment and completion of all work request needs. Engages outside vendors in soliciting bids or contract work, as needed. Cleans, mops, and sanitizes bathrooms daily; ensures all bathrooms are stocked with necessary paper and soap supplies Vacuums and disinfects all common areas daily; ensures all public sanitizing stations are filled with sanitizer Schedules for routine vacuuming of all offices; empties all trash receptacles Performs landscaping cleanup including mowing Shovels snow along the sidewalks and entryways as needed. May be called upon to perform basic carpentry or plumbing tasks. May be called upon to lift and move office furniture in excess of 50 pounds. May be called upon to respond to spills, emergency bathroom needs, broken glass. Notifies supervisor of maintenance supply ordering needs. Participates, engages, listens and learns in individual and team meetings. Responsible to represent the agency in the community with courtesy and professionalism. Responsible to review and adhere to all agency policies and procedures Other assignments and tasks may be added at the discretion of his/her supervisor. Requirements:
Applicants will possess a minimum of 3 years of related experience in facilities management.
Pay:
$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
