Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a mechanical background and be proficient in various maintenance tasks. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, providing high-quality service, and maintaining a safe environment for all residents, employees and visitors. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities. Utilize mechanical knowledge to fabricate parts as needed. Execute simple electrical repairs and installations. Execute simple plumbing repair as required. Conduct residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic quality. Provide excellent customer service by addressing maintenance requests promptly. Communicate effectively in English with team members and management regarding maintenance issues and solutions. Experience Proven experience in a maintenance role in a Long Term Care Facility or similar position is preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with plumbing and electrical systems. Background in residential painting is beneficial. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with residents, staff and families.
