Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of machinery and mechanical equipment in our facility.
Duties:
Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools Inspects drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists Assembles, installs or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment Diagnoses mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery Dismantles devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools Performs preparatory work for maintenance activities, including gathering equipment, materials, and supplies, loading and unloading materials, and laying out materials and equipment for projects Performs a variety of routine physical labor tasks, depending upon area of assignment, including posting general notices, pulling weeds, picking up litter, raking leaves and debris, planting, replacing light bulbs, and moving furniture Performs cleanup at the end of the day or when the job is completed, including picking up tools, spills, and debris cleaning work areas and performing touch up work as needed Sets up meeting areas for meetings and events Reports any issues or problems that may arise to the Director of Maintenance Complies with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standards Attends in-services and other required meetings Completes online training as assigned in order to maintain company, state, and federal compliance Assists families and other visitors as needed Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
Skills:
  • Proficiency in electrical systems and logic controllers
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in maintaining industrial equipment
  • Supervising skills to lead a team effectively
