$27.00-$27.54 per hour

1199SEIU Greater New York Job Summary The Hamptons Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing is seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Worker to join our team. The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for maintaining the facility, equipment, grounds, and building systems to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility. Complete maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting tasks. Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems. Maintain safe, clean, and orderly facility grounds and common areas. Assist with facility inspections and follow all applicable safety requirements. Identify, address, and report safety hazards and maintenance concerns. Work closely with Nursing, Housekeeping, and other departments to address facility needs. Respond to emergency maintenance situations when needed. Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and repairs. Follow all facility policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Requirements At least 1 year of maintenance experience preferred. Nursing home or healthcare facility maintenance experience preferred. General knowledge of building maintenance and repair. Basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to troubleshoot problems and identify appropriate solutions. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position. Flexible schedule with availability to work alternating weekends. Ability to respond to emergency maintenance needs when required.
