Job Description

Overview We are seeking a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. In this role, you will respond directly to residential work orders, traveling to tenant homes in the Utica and Rome areas to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain properties. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, customer-focused, and capable of handling a wide variety of hands-on maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities Work Order Execution:
Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance duties inside tenant residences, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and appliance troubleshooting.
On-Site Service Calls:
Travel to residential sites throughout Utica and Rome to complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner.
Preventative Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections, unit turnovers, and preventative upkeep to ensure properties meet safety and quality standards.
Tenant Interaction:
Communicate respectfully and clearly with residents while working in their homes, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Documentation & Safety:
Log work order progress, track materials used, and adhere to all safety codes and environmental standards.
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of proven hands-on experience in residential maintenance, general contracting, or building trade services.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with basic hand/power tools and solid general knowledge of home repair trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC basics).
Licensing & Transportation:
Valid driver's license and a reliable, personal vehicle required for daily travel between property locations.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent time management, and a professional, respectful demeanor when interacting with residents.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, climb ladders, and work in tight or awkward spaces as required by tasks.
Monday-Friday Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
