B'nai Jeshurun Congregation | Pepper Pike, Ohio B'nai Jeshurun Congregation is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Worker to help maintain our synagogue building, grounds, and facilities. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping a building clean, safe, functional, and welcoming for our members, staff, and guests. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the building Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs Set up and break down rooms, tables, chairs, and equipment for synagogue programs and events Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, offices, restrooms, and event spaces Assist with seasonal building and grounds maintenance Monitor building conditions and report maintenance or safety concerns Assist with snow and ice removal as needed Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers when necessary Help ensure the building is safe, secure, and ready for daily use and special events Respond to occasional maintenance needs outside of regular routines Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous building maintenance, facilities, or handyman experience preferred Strong general repair and problem-solving skills Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently Good organizational and communication skills Ability to lift, carry, push, and move equipment and furniture as needed Ability to work around a flexible schedule based on synagogue programs and events Must be comfortable working in a community environment with staff, members, and guests

Pay:

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
