Responsibilities Perform comprehensive maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) tasks on building systems including electrical equipment, plumbing, HVAC systems, and mechanical components. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct HVAC system repairs and routine maintenance to ensure optimal climate control within the facility. Execute plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including pipe fitting, leak detection, and fixture servicing. Lead building interior maintenance activities such as carpentry, painting (including residential painting), drywall repair, and facilities painting projects. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for welding, carpentry, electrical work, and other maintenance tasks. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants. Supervise or assist with the installation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for building automation systems when applicable. Support leadership in training or mentoring junior team members on proper maintenance procedures. Experience Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities management with a focus on repair and troubleshooting across multiple trades such as electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, welding, carpentry, and painting. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and electrical testing equipment like ohmmeters. Demonstrated ability to read schematics for electrical wiring or mechanical systems. Experience working with maintenance painting projects including residential-style finishes. Familiarity with facilities equipment maintenance including HVAC systems repair and plumbing system upkeep. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided for the right candidate. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and respond to service requests.
