Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Worker to join our team and ensure the proper upkeep of outdoor grounds and facilities. In this role, you will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to keep outdoor spaces safe, attractive, and functional. Your expertise in landscape maintenance, landscaping, and groundskeeping will help create welcoming environments for visitors, staff, and community members. Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing lawns, trimming trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and maintaining garden beds to enhance aesthetic appeal. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools safely and efficiently. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed to promote healthy plant growth. Conduct plant identification to assess health status and apply appropriate horticultural practices. Implement pest management strategies by applying pesticides responsibly following safety protocols and regulations. Maintain outdoor facilities by repairing or replacing hardscape features like pathways, benches, or fencing. Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards. Qualifications Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating landscaping and grounds maintenance equipment. Strong outdoor work experience with a focus on groundskeeping, landscaping, or horticulture. Knowledge of plant identification, lawn care techniques, tree trimming, and gardening practices. Familiarity with irrigation systems, pesticide management, power tools, hand tools, and hardscape repair. Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols while handling equipment and chemicals. Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions including walking, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
